Federal Skilled Worker

Those who are experienced in a particular profession and want a permanent visa in Canada, on their ability, are FSW.

Here they do not want any Canadian work experience. Applicants for Skilled Worker status are apprised based on a number of factors that predict their chance of integrating well into Canadian society. The applicant's work experience, language aptitude, and education are all factors to consider. Those who are successful applicants get permanent resident visas in Canada. They can live, study and work anywhere throughout Canada. And they are citizens of their native nation too.

Requirements of Federal Skilled Worker (FSW)

Must have At least 1 year of full-time-continuous work experience in the same field. It means 30 hours per week and 1,560 hours total.

And for the part-time jobholders, you also need 1560 hours total. It can be your 24 months of experience in your field. It means  It means 15  hours per week and 1,560 hours total in 2 years. Or you can add more part-time jobs to meet the criteria.

• Have to A minimum level of education equivalent to a Canadian high school diploma is required.

• Have to have a minimum requirement of language ability in either English or french.

• In the FSW point grid, you need to get at least 67 points to qualify for this program.

 

The 6 Selection Criteria

• • 1. Work Experience: You can get a maximum score of  15 points for paid work experience.
  • 2. Education: You can get a maximum score of  25 points for the education factor.
  • 3. Age: You can get a maximum score of  12 points for age.
  • 4. Language Skill: You can get a maximum score of  28 points for language skills.
  • 5. Adaptability: You can get a maximum score of  10 points for adaptability.
  • 6. Arranged Employment:  You can get a maximum score of 10 points for arranged employment.

   

  • Overall you have to get at least 67 points or higher for eligible for Canadian immigration.

Processing Times

 
The Processing time in 80% of cases is 6 months. However, in some cases, it depends on which Canadian immigration Visa office processed the application.
