Global Talent Stream

The Global Talent Stream started its journey in 2017. From that time till now it has been one of the most successful programs.

This stream lets companies employ talented people from another country. This is for those extraordinary posts that need specialists to occupy them.

Conditions to be qualified:

There are some conditions to be fulfilled to become qualified to apply for this program. Candidates under this program are divided into 2 types, A and B. Each type has its own set of conditions of eligibility.  

Type A:

The conditions for being qualified under this category are as follows:

• The candidate has to have one-of-a-kind and a special ability that can help the hiring company do well in the market. This type of ability has to be something valuable enough for the employer to pay the employee $38.46 CDN at a minimum on an hourly basis payment system. The candidates also need certificates on the subject they expertise at.
• The employers need to be from a Canadian company. The company has to be prioritizing on innovation and they must be determined to rise up.
• For recommending to the Global Talent Stream, an assigned partner from Canada has to approve a Canada-based innovative business that wants to employ workers of type A.

Type B:

The conditions for being qualified under this category are as follows:

• For category B, the job post has to be included in the list of Global Talent Occupations.
• The job providers have to propose the per-hour average pay rate at the least. The average wage rate has to be more than any other regional average pay per hour.

GTS application process in Canada:

Getting a work permit under GTS has the following steps:

• The employer from Canada has to send a job proposal to a citizen of another country and submit an LMIA application under GTS to ESDC.
• After getting approval from ESDC, the employment seeker has to request to IRCC for a work permit under LMIA.
